Summer Palace: 1.Location: No. 19 Xinjiangongmen Road, Haidian District, in the western suburbs of Beijing 2.Public Traffic: Get off at Beigongmen station, D exit, line 4 (metro) 3.Open Time 6:00-19:00 4.Brief introduction of the Summer Palace The Summer Palace, a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, is located at No. 19 Xinjiangongmen Road, Haidian District, in the western suburbs of Beijing. It is built around Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, using the landscape of West Lake in Hangzhou as a model and drawing on design techniques and the atmosphere of gardens in Jiangnan. It is the largest and most well-preserved imperial garden, often referred to as the Museum of Royal Gardens. The garden covers 3.009 square kilometers, with water surfaces making up about three-quarters of the total area, comprising Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. There are over a hundred scenic buildings, more than twenty courtyards, and over three thousand ancient structures, covering nearly 70,000 square meters. The garden is home to over 1,600 ancient trees. In December 1998, the Summer Palace was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Temple of heaven: 1.Traffic ①get off at the station of the Temple of Heaven East Gate,line 5 (metro). ②get off at the station of the TianQiao,line 8 (metro). 2.Visit time ①11.01-3.31(second year): 6:30-21:00 for Park 8:00-16:30 for attractions in Park ②4.01-10.31: 6:00-21:00 for Park 8:00-17:30 for attractions in Park Note:Booking bought before 16:30 are combined tickets(except monday), which includes the entry of attractions in the Park.Other time is basic tickets. 4.Brief introduction of the Temple of Heaven The Temple of Heaven Park, originally known as the 'Altar of Heaven and Earth,' is located at No. 7 Tiantan Inner East Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was first built in 1420 during the 18th year of Emperor Yongle's reign in the Ming Dynasty. In 1530, the 9th year of Emperor Jiajing's reign, it was renamed 'Temple of Heaven.' It served as the venue where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties conducted ceremonies to worship heaven and pray for good harvests. Covering an area of 273 hectares, it is the largest existing ancient sacrificial architecture complex in China.
