You can meet your guide at the meeting point, or choose private tour service with hotel pickup within downtown Beijing. Upon arrival at Qianmen Street, your professional guide will deliver detailed and in-depth historical explanations of this ancient street.
Stroll along this lively commercial street at night, which boasts a one-of-a-kind charming night scenery with antique-style buildings illuminated by soft lights, creating a strong classic old Beijing atmosphere. You will pass numerous time-honored famous local stores including Quanjude and many other well-known old brands that carry profound Beijing traditional culture. Then we proceed to the nearby snack street as our second stop. Here you can wander around and discover various authentic folk delicacies. All snacks are at your own expense, and adventurous visitors can try special local treats such as fried scorpions and fried silkworm pupae.
After that, we will explore the surrounding hutongs and learn about their profound history and traditional folk customs.
