Description

Meet our tour guide in your hotel's lobby. Then heading directly to Badaling Great Wall(1.5 hours drive). Your friendly tour guide will explain the related histories and stories along the way. Feel free to ask questions if you have. Upon arrival, follow your tour guide to take the shuttle bus to reach the foot of the mountain. Then spend 1- 2 hours at Badaling section to hike up and down and explore different towers. Of course, you can use the convenient cable to take you up to the wall, which save you energy and time. The Great Wall is reputed as one of the seven construction wonders in the world not only for its long history, but its massive construction size, and its unique architectural style as well. Badaling Great Wall is the highlight and the most excellent section of Great Walls built in Ming Dynasty. It is also the best preserved part of Great Wall. After a delicious lunch in the local restaurant, move on to the Dingling Tomb at the Ming Tombs. Construction of Dingling Tomb started in 1584 and was finished in 6 years later. In 1620, Emperor Wanli was buried here with his two empresses. Discover the treasures found from the underground palace in the museums and walk into the underground palace to experience the massive tomb with five chambers. Gain deep insight into the history of the Ming Dynasty, and learn the stories about emperor Wanli and his two emperesses. After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
