Description
Jinshanling is widely regarded as one of the most authentic stretches of the Great Wall. Far less crowded than Badaling and Mutianyu, it boasts well-preserved original ramparts ideal for hiking. However, its remote location makes travelling by large tour buses exhausting with long, cramped rides and rigid timetables. Our comfortable shared 7-seater air-conditioned business vans solve this problem. We carry a maximum of 6 guests per vehicle to guarantee generous personal space for your journey to Jinshanling.
Two Service Options Available
Option 1: Driver Only + Entrance Tickets (Budget Pick)
Perfect for independent travellers. You receive round-trip transfer with a professional driver plus official Jinshanling Great Wall entry tickets. You have full free time to hike and explore the wall at your own pace.
Popular hiking routes:
Short walk: Main entrance → East Five Towers (relaxed 1–1.5km out-and-back)
Moderate hike: Main entrance → East Five Towers → General’s Tower
Longer trek: General’s Tower all the way to Simatai West (for experienced hikers)
Option 2: Driver + Tour Guide + Entrance Tickets
Ideal if you want in-depth cultural insights. Alongside transfers and tickets, our knowledgeable English-speaking guide shares fascinating history and legends of the Great Wall en route. On-site, the guide can recommend suitable hiking trails, point out historic watchtowers and ruin sections, while you still enjoy plenty of independent hiking time.
Advantages of Our Small Group (Max 6 Guests Only)
We cap each 7-seater air-conditioned business van at 6 passengers, escaping crowded large tour buses. Benefit from extra legroom, flexible schedules, efficient door-to-door pick-up and drop-off, and no unnecessary waiting for other group members. The comfortable ride greatly eases the longer drive out to remote Jinshanling.

Service Process
After confirmation, please provide your hotel name and full address to arrange your pickup schedule.
For Option 1 (Driver Only): The driver drops you off at Jinshanling main car park and waits nearby during your self-guided hiking adventure (suggested 2–4 hours exploring).
For Option 2 (Driver + Guide): Your tour guide travels with you in the van, delivers historical briefings on the drive, and accompanies you on the Great Wall to introduce landmarks and heritage. You will still have plenty of leisure time to hike freely.
Once your sightseeing finishes, you will meet the driver/guide at the agreed time for transfer back to your downtown hotel within Beijing’s 4th Ring Road.

Important Information
- Vehicle Arrangement
- If your booking group size is 3 guests or fewer, we will arrange a 5-seater car instead of the 7-seater van
- Pick-up Punctuality Policy
- Please wait for our driver/guide in your hotel lobby at the agreed pick-up time. The driver will only wait for a maximum of 10 minutes
- If you fail to show up within the 10-minute waiting window, the vehicle will depart. Your booking will be marked as a no-show, and no refund will be issued
- Pick-up Time Notification
- We will inform you of your exact pick-up time one day in advance. The final time will be adjusted based on the distance from your hotel
- Contact Information
