Begin your day with a convenient hotel pickup and head to the Juyongguan Great Wall. Take the counterclockwise loop route and admire the rolling mountains. Check in at the First Magnificent Pass Under Heaven and the stone carvings of the Yuan Dynasty Cloud Platform. Next, enjoy a rickshaw tour through the old Beijing hutongs. Experience authentic hutong life as your rickshaw puller narrates local stories along the way. Travel through quiet, lesser-known alleys, catch distant views of the Drum Tower, and visit Houhai Lake. Then, visit a traditional private courtyard with exclusive access to a siheyuan that hosted foreign guests during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Finally, watch a Tianqiao folk stunt show at venues like Guangmingge Teahouse, Tianqiao Civic Square, or Tianqiao Art Center. The shows feature classic old Beijing street performances such as acrobatics, traditional magic, hard qigong, iron ball swallowing, and sword swallowing.
