Description

Set off from your Beijing hotel for an immersive two-day hiking adventure on the Great Wall. Begin with a drive to the Geibeikou section, where you’ll hike about 6-7 km along original, less-visited stretches of the Wall for around four hours. Take in sweeping mountain views and the distinctive brown bricks that mark this historic area. After a countryside lunch, explore the local village at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner before choosing to camp overnight in a watchtower or stay in a traditional farmhouse, depending on your preference and the weather. Wake up to sunrise on the Wall, capture memorable photos, and enjoy breakfast. Then, travel to the wild Jiankou section, renowned for its steep, unrestored walls and dramatic valleys. Hike approximately 7 km, experiencing the Wall’s rugged beauty and the striking white dolomite foundation. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before your return transfer to Beijing, arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon. Throughout the journey, benefit from private transport, an English-speaking guide, all entrance fees, and meals featuring local specialties. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel, leaving you with vivid memories of the Great Wall’s wildest stretches.
