Description
8:30 AM: Meet your guide at the designated spot. You'll get a warm welcome and a quick intro to the history and importance of the Forbidden City. Together, you'll walk to the main entrance, passing through security to enter the palace.
9:00 AM: Your exploration begins at the majestic Meridian Gate (Wu Men). The Forbidden City, the world's largest and best-preserved imperial palace, awaits you with its secrets and grandeur. Your guide will take you on three carefully selected routes:
Central Route: You'll discover the imposing Halls of Supreme, Central, and Preserved Harmony, the heart of imperial power, where the most important ceremonies were held.
East Route: You'll visit a temporary exhibition (subject to availability) showcasing the art, crafts, and treasures of the imperial family.
West Route: You'll explore the Cining and Shoukang Palaces, where the concubines and the royal family lived their daily lives, full of intrigue and fascinating traditions.
12:30 PM: The tour wraps up at the Gate of Divine Prowess (Shenwu Men), where your guide will give you a quick rundown of the history and culture of this iconic spot. You'll have some free time to take photos or keep exploring on your own.
