Description

Your guide will meet you at 8:00 am before driving to Jinshanling East. The hike begins around 10:30 am and lasts approximately three hours, covering the route from Jinshanling East to the main gate.

This section of the Great Wall features over 15 watchtowers of various designs, including two- and three-storey structures with flat, rounded, or pitched roofs. The trail offers a mix of wild, ruined, preserved, and restored sections, providing varied scenic perspectives. Clear days offer excellent conditions for photography.

After the hike, a traditional lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant is provided before returning to Beijing.

Important Information

• What to bring: Comfortable hiking shoes or boots, sun cream, sunglasses, lip balm, and a cap
• There are no toilets on the Wall. Toilets are available at the entrances of Simatai West and Jinshanling. Please prepare accordingly and carry toilet paper
• Local farmers may approach at the start of the hike. Firmly saying 'no' or ignoring them is advised to discourage persistence
• Unlimited bottled water is stored in the vehicle; bring a day pack to carry it during the hike
• Travel insurance is optional and the traveler's responsibility
• Follow responsible travel principles: take only photos and leave only footprints
