Note: Tickets to the Forbidden City are tight all year round, once we failed to book the Forbidden City tickets, we will visit Jingshan Park on the south side of the Forbidden City, instead of the Forbidden City, standing at the top of the hill in Jingshan Park, you can still see the entire layout of the Forbidden City and the building structures Day 1: Summer palace, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven Your English-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby of your Beijing hotel at 08:00. You will then be taken to the summer palace first, based on the West Lake in Hangzhou, it is a large landscape garden built by drawing on the design techniques of the Jiangnan Garden, and it is also the most well-preserved royal palace, known as the 'Royal Garden Museum', then explore the Forbidden City – the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces with over 500 years of history. The visit to the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north takes approximately 2 hours. On the way to the Temple of Heaven, you will have a chance to visit a silk museum and learn about traditional silk culture. After this short stop, you will be served a typical Chinese lunch in a local restaurant. Once lunch has finished, you will visit the Temple of Heaven. This is where the ancient Emperors prayed for peace and harvest, and it is still the largest, ancient imperial worship complex in the world. The visit to Temple of Heaven will last about 1 hour and then you will explore the Chinese medicine museum, afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel. Day 2: Great Wall of China day tour On the second day, you will experience China's No.1 highlight attraction: the Great Wall. The layout of the Great Wall is very ingenious, thanks to the important experience of Qin Shi Huang, who summed up the idea of 'using danger to control the blockage due to the terrain' during the construction of the Great Wall. Many parts of the Great Wall are situated near the cliffs, and these dangerous terrains add a natural barrier to the Great Wall, which is used to better defend against the enemy. After your visit, you will enjoy a Chinese lunch at an authentic Chinese Jade restaurant for experiexcing interesting Jade culture. Next, you will enjoy the interesting Chinese tea ceremony at a local tea house at downtown area. At the end of your day, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
