Description
Begin your day with a visit to the Dingling Mausoleum, the only imperial tomb among the Ming Tombs with an underground palace open to the public. Learn about Emperor Wanli Zhu Yijun, the 13th emperor of the Ming Dynasty, who reigned for 48 years and was the longest-reigning emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Discover how, when he was young, he was intelligent and diligent, and implemented reforms, creating the 'Wanli Renaissance'. After the death of the chief advisor Zhang Juzheng, he began to indulge in pleasures and amass wealth at will. He did not attend court for 28 years and gradually pushed the Great Ming into a desperate situation. In May 1956, the trial excavation of the Dingling began. At first, it was repeatedly frustrated due to a lack of experience. It was not until the inscribed stele was unearthed, which read 'This stele is 16 zhang and 10 feet away from the Golden Wall and 3 zhang and 5 feet deep', that the archaeological team finally found the Golden Wall of the underground palace, which was the famous trapezoidal opening shown in the documentary. After removing the first brick, a puff of black smoke emerged from the opening. Everyone fled in all directions in terror. After returning and discussing, they decided to put a live chicken inside. The next day, it was found that the chicken was unharmed, and they were finally able to enter the underground palace. Thus, that chicken became the first living creature to enter the underground palace during the archaeological excavation. Next, visit the Juyongguan Great Wall, Experience the beauty and the most beautiful part of the Great Wall in your life memories. The Juyongguan Great Wall has always been a contested place by military strategists since ancient times. It was listed as the first of the 'Eight Scenes of Yanjing' in the Jin Dynasty and was once titled 'Juyongguan Shidie' by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The city wall of the Juyongguan Great Wall is approximately 4,142 meters long. It is built along the mountain and forms a closed loop. The Juyongguan Great Wall is known as 'The Greatest Great Wall in the World'. The terrain is relatively steep, witnessing the history of the integration of the Great Wall with nature and the nation.Includes
