Description

Your day begins at the Forbidden City, the world’s largest ancient palace complex and home to Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. By starting here in the early morning, you’ll experience the grand halls and hidden courtyards before the midday crowds arrive. Equipped with wireless earphones, you’ll hear every word of your guide’s expert commentary clearly — from the stories behind the Hall of Supreme Harmony to the secrets of the Imperial Garden. The selected classic route covers the most important sites along the central axis. After the Forbidden City, board the comfortable air-conditioned coach for the scenic drive north to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Your guide uses this time to share practical tips, hiking strategies, and historical background, so you arrive fully prepared to make the most of your 3.5 hours on the wall. A complimentary shuttle bus takes you from the parking area to the base of the wall. Mutianyu is one of the best-preserved and least crowded sections of the Great Wall, winding through forested mountains with 23 original watchtowers. Whether you choose to hike, take the cable car up, or ride the famous toboggan slide down, you’ll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace. When hunger strikes, enjoy exclusive discounts at partner restaurants within the scenic area. As evening approaches, the coach brings you back toward central Beijing, arriving at the Olympic Park area near the Bird’s Nest around 7:00 PM — just in time to see this iconic stadium light up against the night sky.
