Explore the capital’s imperial landmarks, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and the Lama Temple. Walk through traditional hutongs, observe local morning life, and visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Continue to Shanghai by high-speed train. Discover the contrast between old and modern China as you visit Yu Garden, the City God Temple area, the Jade Buddha Temple, Nanjing Road, and the Bund. Enjoy the city’s skyline from the Huangpu River and explore the creative lanes of Tianzifang and the elegant streets around Huaihai Road. Fly to Zhangjiajie for several days among towering sandstone peaks and deep valleys. Ride the Bailong Elevator to Yuanjiajie, known for landscapes associated with the floating mountains featured in Avatar, and continue to Tianzi Mountain.
