Day 1 – Arrival in Beijing Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your guide and driver and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy free time to relax after your journey. Day 2 – Imperial Beijing Visit the Temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors once prayed for good harvests. Optional: Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City (CAD 116/pp). In the afternoon, optional Summer Palace & Peking Duck Dinner (CAD 98/pp). Day 3 – Olympic Beijing & Great Wall Stop at the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube for exterior photos. Visit a Jade Cultural Center, then continue to the magnificent Great Wall. In the evening, optional Beijing Acrobatics Show (CAD 98/pp). Day 4 – Traditional Beijing Visit Tongrentang to learn about traditional Chinese medicine. Day 5 – Beijing to Wuxi Take a high-speed train to Wuxi (included). Day 6 – Wuxi to Suzhou Visit Huishan Ancient Town, famous for its ancestral halls. Stop at a Pearl Processing Center, then explore scenic Li Garden, known for lakeside pavilions, bridges, and classical landscaping. Continue to Suzhou. Day 7 – Suzhou to Hangzhou Visit the UNESCO-listed Lingering Garden, followed by a Silk Factory to learn about traditional silk production. Continue to Hangzhou and explore West Lake. Upon arrival, transfer to the pier and board your Yangtze River cruise. Day 11 – Three Gorges Dam Optional Tribe of the Three Gorges excursion (CAD80 /pp). In the afternoon, visit the impressive Three Gorges Dam. Optional Ship Lift experience (CAD80/pp). Day 12 – Wu Gorge & Qutang Gorge Cruise through scenic Wu Gorge and explore the Lesser Three Gorges by smaller sightseeing boat.
