Located in Huairou District, northeast of Beijing, this section is approximately 75 kilometers from the city center. As one of the best‑preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall, Mutianyu historically served as a vital northern defensive barrier protecting the capital.
Take the cable car up to the wall. Choose to hike along the wall to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, or take the cable car down or chairlift up and toboggan ride for a fun and memorable descent. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, where you can go shopping and taste local delicacies.
