  • All travelers must provide their full name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth at booking for official real-name ticket reservation. You must bring the same original physical passport used at booking on the day of the tour. Digital copies or photos are not accepted by palace security. The Forbidden City is strictly closed on Mondays (except Chinese national holidays). Tours operate Tuesday through Sunday. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure (08:15 AM) at Subway Line 8, Jinyu Hutong Station, Exit C to meet your guide (for guided options). This tour involves walking across expansive courtyards and stone steps. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the activity starts.
