You can choose to visit the Military Museum or the National Museum, or both.
With over 1.4 million cultural relics in its collection, the National Museum of China presents an uninterrupted journey through more than 5,000 years of Chinese history. Its permanent exhibitions include the highly acclaimed Ancient China gallery, which displays masterpieces such as bronze ritual vessels, jade artifacts, ancient pottery, classic porcelain, imperial treasures, calligraphy, and paintings. You will also have access to temporary exhibitions, modern history displays, and special thematic galleries that change throughout the year.
The Military Museum has a world-class collection of military relics, housing over 100,000 cultural relics and more than 2,500 pieces of weapons and equipment, including national treasure-level exhibits like Zhu De's pistol (a witness to the Nanchang Uprising, hailed as the 'First Gun Under Heaven') and the Dongfeng-1 missile (China's first self-developed short-range missile).
