Below is a detailed introduction to each package:
Package 1: 3-Hour Hutong Walking Tour
Route: Drum Tower → Drum Performance → Houhai →Lotus Market → Yandai Xiejie →Fire God Temple→ Nanluoguxiang
Begin your journey at Drum Tower, where you’ll climb to the top to enjoy the traditional drum performance and panoramic views of Beijing’s central axis and dense hutongs. Your English-speaking guide will share it’s history as the ancient capital’s timekeeping center. Then walk to Houhai, wandering along the lakeside and exploring Lotus Market, Yandai Xiejie (a historic alley with traditional shops), and Fire God Temple (a centuries-old temple with rich cultural connotations). End the tour at Nanluoguxiang, where you’ll experience the blend of old and new hutong charm, with the guide explaining local traditions and anecdotes throughout.
Package 2: 3.5-Hour Hutong Walking Tour+20-Minute Rickshaw Ride
Includes all the highlights of Package 1, with an added 20-minute rickshaw ride to enhance your old Beijing experience. The ride offers a unique perspective to admire courtyard houses&local life, with the guide sharing stories.
Package 3: 4-Hour Hutong Walking Tour+Dumpling
Build on Package 1’s core route, adding a delicious local dumpling tasting to your journey. After exploring the historic sites, your guide will take you to the restaurant, a renowned hidden dumpling spot in the hutongs. Package 4: 4-Hour Hutong Walking Tour+Draft Beer Bar
This package includes all the highlights of Package 1, with an added visit to a hidden draft beer bar nestled in the hutongs. - 1: The Drum Tower has 69 steps, which are relatively steep. Please be aware in advance.
