Meet the Four Jade National Treasures—massive, intricately carved jade masterpieces that took years to complete. Walk around them slowly to appreciate the craftsmanship and scale. The surrounding galleries also showcase fine jade carvings, ivory sculptures, and exquisite embroidery.
2. Explore Special Exhibitions
You'll discover various forms of intangible cultural heritage, from paper-cutting and shadow puppetry to lacquerware. You might even catch a live demonstration by a master artisan.
3. Hands-On Workshops (optional)
You can choose your adventure such as polishing a piece of jade just like ancient craftsmen, painting a Dunhuang-style mural with mineral pigments, sewing a traditional herbal sachet or designing your own silk fan and so on.
