Day 1 Tiananmen Square – Forbidden City (Palace Museum) – Mutianyu Great Wall (Lunch Included) Enjoy convenient hotel lobby pickup in the morning, or you may join the group directly at the designated meeting point. Visit iconic Tiananmen Square to enjoy exterior views of the Great Hall of the People, National Museum and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum. Walk into the Forbidden City, the world’s largest imperial palace complex with a 600-year history and former home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors. Explore its grand halls and historic courtyards at your leisure. Taste authentic Chinese buffet for lunch. In the afternoon, travel about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the World’s New Seven Wonders. Hike the quiet, less crowded section of the Mutianyu Great Wall for around 2 hours. Ride the chairlift uphill; choose between chairlift or thrilling toboggan on the way down. Please note: toboggan is not allowed for guests over 60, who can take the round-trip cable car instead. We will transfer you comfortably back to your hotel or the designated meeting point at the end of the day. Day 2 Panda House – Summer Palace – Hutongs – Temple of Heaven ( Lunch Optional) Meet your private guide at your hotel or designated meeting point. Get up close to adorable giant pandas and watch their breakfast at the Panda House. Tour the Summer Palace, a stunning ancient royal garden featuring pavilions, bridges, long corridors and old temples. Listen to vivid historical stories from your guide as you wander around. Your guide will take you on a delightful walking tour through Beijing’s ancient Hutongs. Stroll along narrow, winding lanes lined with traditional courtyard residences, immerse yourself in the genuine lifestyle of old Beijing, and listen as your guide tells fascinating stories and shares local traditions behind these century-old alleys. You will get an intimate glimpse of locals’ daily life, offering you an authentic, immersive and unforgettable Beijing experience. Lunch will be arranged in the Hutong area, with a rich variety of local delicacies and traditional snacks available for you to choose at your leisure. Ample free time will be reserved for you to taste authentic local food. Lunch is at your own expense for the standard tour.   • Please carry the same valid travel ID with you for the entire trip; otherwise, entry to scenic sites may be refused
  • Please note that Chinese nationals including visitors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must book tickets 7 days in advance for the Forbidden City. We cannot accept any bookings made within 7 days of the visit date
  • Forbidden City tickets require real-name reservation 168 hours (7 days) in advance and often sell out quickly. We highly recommend you book your tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international visitors may need to queue at the entrance to purchase tickets on site
  • Toboggan unavailable for guests over 60, pregnant women and children under 3, as well as in bad weather or long queues. Round-trip chairlift/cable car available instead
