Description
As two iconic Beijing heritage sites, the Forbidden City (Ming-Qing imperial palace) and Temple of Heaven (ancient Heaven-worshipping venue) offer 4 tailored tours—all with professional guides to uncover their history and culture.
1. Subway Convenience Tour (Budget-Friendly & Efficient)

Meet your private guide at your hotel. Take subway to Tiananmen Square (guide shares its history). Then enter the Forbidden City through its South Gate to explore the 250-acre imperial complex. Visit must-see sites and your guide will explain the architectural symbolism of the palace and details of imperial daily life here.
Next, take the subway to the Temple of Heaven—a sacred site once used by Ming and Qing emperors for annual Heaven-worshipping ceremonies. Stroll through the gardens with your guide. Explore the park’s core courtyards, where your guide will share stories of imperial worship rituals. The tour ends at the Temple of Heaven.
2. Private Car+Lunch (Comfort & Indulgence)
Private AC car (with driver) and guide meet you at hotel. Start with a visit to Tiananmen Square (with guide’s in-depth commentary on its history) and then enter the Forbidden City. Explore the imperial complex at your own pace—your guide can focus on spots matching your interests and share lesser-known anecdotes about emperors and court life.
Enjoy a curated lunch, then head to the Temple of Heaven via private car. Experience the same immersive tour as Option 1, with flexibility to adjust your pace. Stop at the Pearl Market to shop for your China souvenir. Car drops you back to hotel.
3. Acrobatic Night Show Upgrade Tour (Culture+Evening Entertainment)

Private guide meets you at your hotel; transportation between daytime attractions is via private car. Follow the same order as Option 1—morning at Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, afternoon at Temple of Heaven. Afterwards, your guide will take you to a famous Beijing acrobatic theater to enjoy a world-class performance featuring traditional Chinese acrobatics. Private transfer back to hotel after the show.
4. Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City+Temple of Heaven+Summer Palace Tour

Private guide and car meet you at hotel. Visit Tiananmen Square, then Forbidden City’s main axis. Next, Temple of Heaven (key sites), after lunch head to Summer Palace (UNESCO site). Explore the imperial garden’s Long Corridor, Kunming Lake and Marble Boat, and learn about its role as a royal retreat. The tour ends with hotel drop-off.
