Itinerary Details - Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & Treasure Gallery Group Tour
Begin with a walking tour of Tian'anmen Square, where the guide introduces landmarks such as the Great Hall of the People, National Museum of China, Mao Zedong Mausoleum, and the Monument to the People's Heroes. Enter the Forbidden City through the Meridian Gate and explore its central halls. The tour concludes at the Treasury Gallery, showcasing priceless imperial collections.
Booking and Operational Information
- Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) must reserve tickets when Forbidden City online tickets are available; tickets are required and cannot be purchased once sold out.
- Reservation for Chinese Mainland citizens requires ID card number and Chinese name per Palace Museum regulations.
- If Tiananmen Square closes unexpectedly, the guide will substitute a visit to the Palace Museum followed by Jingshan Park.
- This tour is physically demanding and not suitable for those with limited mobility.
- Arrive 10 minutes before departure; latecomers cannot join and no refund will be given.
- Tiananmen Square access depends on government permissions and may be skipped without refund.
