Start your full-day tour in Beijing with convenient pickup at your downtown hotel. Meet your dedicated guide and climb into a comfortable, private vehicle heading directly to the Ming Tombs. Your first stop is the Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs. Stroll along the Sacred Way with your tour guide, admire 18 pairs of marble figures lined up in antithesis which were erected over 500 years ago. Gain deep insight into the Fengshui theory which practiced here and learn more stories about the Ming Dynasty. Move on to the Dingling Tomb at the Ming Tombs. Construction of Dingling Tomb started in 1584 and was finished in 6 years later. In 1620, Emperor Wanli was buried here with his two empresses. Discover the treasures found from the underground palace in the museums and walk into the underground palace to experience the massive tomb with five chambers. Take a break for a traditional Chinese lunch before heading on to the Summer Palace. Summer Palace which known as one of the country’s most beautiful imperial gardens. Follow your tour guide to learn many interesting stories about the Qing Dynasty, as well as the construction and renovation of this imperial garden. Get to know 'Dragon Lady' and her role in the Qing Dynasty. You will visit most important buildings and courtyards in the Summer Palace inlcuding the long corridor and the marble boat. If you visit between March and Octovrer, you can choose to step aboard a Dragon Boat cruise on the lake (at your own cost) After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
