Visitors can take a taxi and reach at changling, then present and scan the ticket QR code (provided by the local vendor) at the entrance to enter the site (please visit the highlight between 9am and 14pm). The Changling tomb, the joint mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Di, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and Empress Xu, is the most important one of the 13 Ming Tombs, with the largest scale of construction, the earliest time of construction, and the best-preserved ground architecture. Its construction reflects the importance the Ming Dynasty placed on the defense of the north and the strategic decision to move the capital to Beijing.
