Your Beijing guide will pick you up at 7AM in the lobby of your downtown Beijing hotel with your guest name tag and proceed to the Shixiaguan Great Wall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty as part of the Juyongguan defence system, and was part of the main road into Beijing from the outside of the Seychelles. Part of the Shixiaguan Great Wall has been restored. The East Road climbs up the newly built climbing stone steps to the viewing platform, while the West Road climbs up the newly built road to an opening in the broken wall.
Shixiaguan not only has high historical and cultural value, but also maintains its original and magnificent scenery because it has not been over-exploited. The natural beauty of the area and the broken walls of the remnant Great Wall are a perfect match, attracting many tourists to explore the area.
Afterwards, proceed to the Changling Mausoleum, which has a unique architectural style, with a rounded layout in the front and the back symbolising heaven and earth. The Sacred Path leading building and the Mausoleum Palace building together form its magnificent mausoleum, with stone pagodas, three-hole stone bridges, the Great Red Gate and other facilities along the way. The mausoleum palace buildings include the Pavilion of Monuments, the Hall of Sacred Endeavours and the Ming Building, among which the Hall of Sacred Endeavours was the place where the heir emperors worshipped the Queen of the Yongle Emperor.
Next, enjoy an interesting tea performance at the Tea House or Silk Museum before returning to your hotel.
