Layover tips:
If your layover spans from early morning to late evening, it’s possible to visit both the Great Wall and the city in a single day.
If your layover tour of the Forbidden City falls on a Monday (when it is closed, except during national holidays), consider visiting Jingshan Park as an excellent alternative.
