Layover tips: If your layover spans from early morning to late evening, it’s possible to visit both the Great Wall and the city in a single day. If your layover tour of the Forbidden City falls on a Monday (when it is closed, except during national holidays), consider visiting Jingshan Park as excellent alternatives.

• Most of the time, I’m in charge of taking you to see the Great Wall, but if I can’t make it, my colleagues will take care of it. The Forbidden City doesn't sell tickets on the day of your visit. Please make arrangements 7 days in advance in high season. It is closed on Mondays except on national traditional holidays.
