Travel to Beijing W Town, a charming village in Miyun County with a history spanning over a thousand years. Stroll through the town's traditional dwellings, stone-paved streets, and lengthy alleyways, all showcasing the northern townscape typical of the Republican period.
Next, head to the Great Wall at Simatai, an ancient section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall that has maintained its original appearance. This portion of the wall stands upon steep, rugged terrain with a construction scale that inspires awe. When viewed from below, it stretches across the horizon against the azure sky, appearing both majestic and perilous, with clouds drifting past. The mountain ridges resemble clustered fingers, creating a distinctive pattern of two-way staircases.
