Description
Begin your day with a convenient hotel pickup in Beijing and head to the Beijing Badaling Wildlife Park. Pass the Juyongyuan Great Wall along the way, the closest section of the wall to the city. If you wish, stop for 15 minutes to admire the view. Upon arrival at the wildlife park, explore the meek animal region, home to monkey mountain, pheasant park, and peacock park. Spend an hour here before continuing to the ferocious fauna area, where you can see the park’s more dangerous animals from the safety of your vehicle. After lunch, visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall, the best-preserved and most famous section of China’s Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, this UNESCO World Heritage Site used to be a vital military pass defending ancient Beijing. Admire the wall as it winds along mountain ridges with many watchtowers.
