Day 1 — Imperial Beijing & Hutongs Your private guide will meet you at your hotel. Visit Tiananmen Square. Tour the 600‑year‑old Forbidden City (UNESCO) — Hall of Supreme Harmony, Palace of Heavenly Purity and the Imperial Garden (tickets can be limited). Enjoy a Hutong lunch and stroll the Back Lakes (Houhai) and historic alleys. Finish at the Temple of Heaven to see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and watch locals practising tai chi, then return to your hotel. Day 2 — Mutianyu Great Wall & Summer Palace Your private guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Mutianyu Great Wall — one of Beijing’s best‑preserved, less crowded sections — where you’ll have about two hours to walk, hike and take the round‑trip cable car. After lunch, tour the Summer Palace: stroll Kunming Lake and the Long Corridor, visit the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity and the Tower of Buddhist Incense, and learn about Empress Dowager Cixi.Return to your hotel at the end of the day.
