Description
This two-day guided tour covers Beijing’s key cultural landmarks, ideal for visitors seeking an in-depth experience with a knowledgeable local guide. The package includes transportation, entrance fees, and select meals for convenience.
Day 1: Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to Tiananmen Square for a morning walk and photo opportunities. Bring only your passport and drinking water to speed up security checks. Next, visit the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex, exploring its central palaces and over 9,999 rooms.
Afterward, enjoy a 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Following a buffet lunch, hike along this well-preserved and less crowded section for 2.5 hours. Choose between a scenic round-way cable car or a chairlift up and toboggan down. Note that children under 10 require adult supervision on the toboggan, and it is not recommended for travelers over 60 or those with hypertension or heart conditions. Return to your hotel after the visit.
Day 2: The tour begins with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors performed rituals for a good harvest. Continue with a rickshaw ride through the Hutong alleys to experience traditional Beijing life. Visit the Lama Temple, Beijing’s largest and best-preserved Tibetan Buddhist temple, followed by a walk around the Summer Palace, known for its imperial gardens. The day concludes with a return to your hotel.

- The Forbidden City is closed on Mondays; tours departing Monday visit the Summer Palace and Mutianyu Great Wall instead.
- Real-name ticket reservation for the Forbidden City is required 7 days in advance. Early booking is recommended to avoid long queues, especially for international travelers.
- Provide accurate passport information for ticket booking and carry the same valid ID on tour day.
- Chinese nationals, including guests from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, must provide their official Chinese names and book at least 7 days in advance.
