Description
Start from your downtown Beijing hotel or airport—this exclusive private 2-day tour covers Beijing’s unmissable sights with all tickets included, no extra hassle for admissions! Enjoy personalized service with a dedicated private guide accompanying you throughout, sharing in-depth insights and stories at every stop.
Day 1: Downtown Iconic Highlights
Meet your private guide at your hotel lobby (or airport) and head to Tiananmen Square, Beijing’s landmark city center. Then explore the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City, where your guide will lead you to core attractions: the outer courtyard including: the Halls of Supreme/Central/Complete Harmony and the Inner Quarters (the royal family’s private living spaces). Dive into 600 years of imperial history, uncovering little-known stories behind the palace’s grand architecture and royal life.
Next, wander through authentic Hutongs—narrow alleyways lined with traditional courtyard houses. Experience local daily life, pass historic Yinding Bridge, and admire the unique blend of old Beijing charm that’s preserved here.
End the day at Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO site dedicated to imperial sacrifices. Visit key structures including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, and the Circular Mound Altar, with your guide explaining the ancient rituals and architectural symbolism.
Note: Lunch is not included, but your guide is happy to recommend local eateries based on your preferences.
Tour ends with hotel drop-off.
Day 2: Great Wall (2 Options) & Royal Garden + Olympic Park Photo Stop
After hotel lobby meet-up, choose your preferred Great Wall section—Mutianyu (less crowded with stunning scenery) or Badaling (the most famous and accessible). Travel north to your selected site, where your private guide will lead you through the iconic fortifications, sharing fascinating facts about this world wonder. You’ll also have ample free time to explore at your own pace, take photos, or simply soak in the panoramic views of rolling mountains. Round-trip cable car/chairlift and toboggan slide (at your own cost) are available for convenient access.
On the way to Summer Palace, make a photo stop at Olympic Park to capture iconic venues like the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. Then discover the UNESCO-listed Summer Palace, China’s largest imperial garden. Explore key spots including the Hall of Happiness and Longevity, the Long Corridor (the world’s longest covered corridor), Marble Boat, and Longevity Hill, while admiring the serene Kunming Lake. Your guide will share stories of Empress Dowager Cixi and the garden’s role in royal life, revealing the tales behind its exquisite landscapes and structures.
Note: Lunch is not included, but your guide can suggest dining options.
Tour concludes with downtown hotel drop-off.
